Welcome to Eavesdropping, our new ‘works-in progress’ section. Along with our broader categories showcasing Writing on Sound and Sound on Writing, our aim with Eavesdropping is to cast a light on how works such as these come to be. The idea is to enable readers to ‘listen in’ on the various stages of development of a project, offering a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes during the creative process. This might include the drafting phase for a research paper, for instance, or the early experimental stages of a composition or performance project.
